Product Description

“Radical Medicine” is the name of this site as well as a book authored by Dr. Louisa Williams. The word “radical” comes from the Latin root “radix,” meaning going to the root or origin, and pertaining to that which is fundamental, far-reaching, and thorough. Radical Medicine, similar to the Weston A Price Foundation's philosophy, is natural medicine practiced according to the wise traditions of our holistic ancestors, who believed that only through getting to the root cause of disease can true cure be realized.

The new edition of Radical Medicine, published by Inner Traditions, is now available! You can order from www.amazon.com.

Thank you,
Dr. Louisa Williams

This book is not only my “Bible”, it is the cutting edge of science in the health field. I cannot recommend it too highly if you want to get to the root
cause of a health problem–or better yet, prevent a problem from developing.

My holistic dentist, Dr Ronald Underdale, Superior, Wisconsin, loaned me your Radical Medicine book. I am very impressed at your ability to answer many ordinary questions about health, citing research and sources to obtain products. Your courage in writing so clearly about controversial topics also impressed me. I really appreciate practitioners who I feel have the same longing for the truth and interest in empowering clients and patients.

Dr. Williams and her book, Radical Medicine, are truth serum for a country and a culture that relies on medical drugs to suppress symptoms rather than work with natural supplements and therapies that help the body heal itself.
Encyclopedic information––yet easy to read and understand.

I received Radical Medicine as a gift last summer and have been blown away by how detailed and comprehensive each chapter is. I learned so much and can honestly say that Radical Medicine changed my future prospects, motivating me to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. Integrative medicine has become one of my most prominent interests and I do quite a bit of independent reading on natural ways to achieve optimal health. I have especially enjoyed reading about dominant foci and homeopathy. I am eager to learn more about how you treat individuals with chronic disease and use medical history information to design a recovery plan.

I am so thrilled I was able to meet you and purchase your book “Radical Medicine” at the Atlanta Weston A. Price conference last November. It has provided me a whole new way of thinking about systemic diseases and treatments. And now that the detox protocol is in front of me I am going to make an appointment for the removal of the amalgams! Yay!

I re-read your book like a bible. There is so much I want to know more about, so much seems intuitively correct as well as logically, and it is inspirational!

I loved your book. Would be great if we could diagnose our patients always with those dental restorations in mind. What made me start brainstorming again with more persistence was your advice on how the joints in that side of the body all get painful. I have had very painful symptoms in an otherwise extremely healthy, strong body…or at least, up till that root canal. That was the lightbulb I needed!
So I thank you very much for this amazing information and I really appreciate your help and knowledge.

Radical Medicine is a revelation! Meticulously researched and clearly written, it brings together in one volume the various modes of holistic healing and how each can play a part in resolving dental and medical health issues. It’s invaluable in understanding the connection between dental health and overall well-being, as well as dental problems and ill health. Thank you Dr. Williams for this extraordinary work.

First of all, I apologize in advance if I gush a little too much, but it’s all very sincere. You and your book have changed my life. Not only have I personally started to change my lifestyle and how I care for my own health, but my entire career trajectory has changed course as well.I really wanted to tell you how your work is helping me, and will help me to help the many people I will treat over the course of my life. Currently I am twenty-six years old and getting ready to start my third and final year of a family nurse practitioner program. It was to become an NP that I went into nursing in the first place. I was one of those people that everyone thought (and still seems to think) belongs in medical school, but that never felt right. So, nursing it was. My patients are some of the sickest, most debilitated people in the state, and I will not work within and perpetuate a system that profits by such extreme and terrible suffering as I see every day I go into work. To become the healer that I always wanted to be and help patients achieve true wellness will make the loss(es) worthwhile. I must sound very naive and overly optimistic- both of those are probably true of me, but your work has acted as a proverbial torch that showed me where to go. As of today, I’ve read most of your book 5-6 times. My faith in allopathic medicine, once quite strong despite my love for alternative and holistic medicine, is almost entirely gone. I still think it has its place, but I want to spend my life working in a far different place where healing and cure can actually happen. People see me light up whenever I talk about my future plans and holistic medicine, and tell me how inspired they are by my enthusiasm and passion.Thank you for writing such a wonderful book. I’m sure it will continue to be a favorite for a long time to come.

My daughter and I, both members of the Weston Price Foundation, are enjoying your wonderful book. We also listen to the tapes of past annual conferences. I did manage to attend one of your classes in Atlanta. Thanks for everything!

Radical Medicine is added confirmation for my beliefs regarding allopathic medicine and the efficacy of right resources, self help, knowledge and responsibility for healing ourselves. I gratefully thank you for the book. I am passing on the information and website about your clinic to some of my Ortho-bionomy clients, who have been made ill by their numerous doctors.

An excellent reference and historical perspective on crucial medical and health information. I wish Medical schools used this book in their curriculum.
